first, take your main line and put a fairly heavy sinker on, followed by a few beads.next you tie your main line to a swivel and tie a leader on the other end of the swivel. tie a hook on your leader, put a lure on it, and fish!!!!

also some poeple -inculding pro's- like to use a 3/4-2 oz egg sinker to be honest i tryed 3/4 oz and did not like it. all i could feel on braided line was the sinker thumping rocks i could not feel the bait at all. i like a 1/2 oz egg sinker...

I use a 6' 10" heavy action rod and braid for a C-rig. The longer rod allows you to move line on the hookset, and the braid is more sensitive and with no stretch gives a better hookset IMO.
