Default Riverhill Fly Report 4-5-07

Went fly fishing this evening for about an hour, caught 3 hand-sized perch and 2 nice bass, the 2 biggest bass on fly for me I am going again tomorow, and now i have a good understanding of my lake and the best places/techneques to fly fish it.. These bass arent more than 1 1/2 pound, but they fought great and are pretty big to me lol.

Nice! You are really getting the hang of the fly rod. Have you learned how to "strip strike" yet?

I think I do, when they hit I stripped hard and pulled the rod up a bit at the same time, and they both jumped 2 times without throwing the hook so im guessing i did the right thing? Yea, I love fly fishing now!
