Default Revisiting a reminder

Guys, it's spring, the fish are biting and we are out on the water. When you head out:

DON'T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN!!!!!!

Get yourself a spray bottle of Bullfrog or something similar and USE IT, especially you younger guys that think you don't need it. The pump spray won't get on your hands where it can get on your bait.

It's easy to use and sure beats getting skin cancer. I know this first hand-I've got a nice scar on my right shoulder compliments of a basal cell carcinoma the dermatologist carved off of me.

Thanks for the reminder! If it gets on your hands be sure to wash it off....especially if your using live bait....one time on a saltwater trip my friend had it on his hand and put it in the livewell.....bought 20 min later there was a bunch of dead croaker!-josh

And don't forget the tops and insides of your ears.
Don't ask me how I know, just learn from my pain.

Yeah, I learned my lesson two weeks ago and was on the water for 8 hrs with no shirt.......Needless to say I came back red as a lobster. It hurt pretty bad, but what was even worse was how my skin would itch. I HATE THAT! Going to the store for some bullfrog today.

Don't forget your neck area, that's what I did this past weekend. Back of neck and chest area very red and painful. Remembered to put sunscreen face, ears, shoulders, arms, and legs...

And if you do happen to get burnt, I found out a great way last summer to get rid of the sting involved. I got burnt real bad at Qualifying for the F1 Race in Indy, and took a pound of baking soda, threw it in a bathtub full of cold water, hopped in, and layed down. Felt so damned good, made me feel much better.
