Default A Step Back and A Look At Life

While I was fishing today, I realized that I needed to take a step back and look at life. You know, one of those "moments".

After I really thought about, I am truly blessed to be able to be fishing, living in a free country, and have the help and supposrt of all of the people around me. Not only at home, but also here on the website, and through the chat and private messaging. Not only this, but also being able to be monetarily stable in terms of the rods, reels, line, lures, and bait of which I have accumulated over the past year. I realized this and it truly hit me as to how lucky I am.

Although the fish weren't biting, getting out today did really help me.

theres always a lot of enjoyment for me watching the birds or critters on the bank in between bites. the more ya key in on whats going on in or near the water, the more it helps ya figure where feeding activity is, and location, location, location.

One of the reasons I love to go fishing is that it's very peaceful... unless you go to a jet ski lake... then of course you just want to pull your hair out.

Nature. Reflecting on what a wonderful place it is to be fishing. One with the fish. One with the bait. This is what I do when I fish alone. What the fish is about to do. How the bait should react to the hunter.

Enjoying the beauty and tranquility one can experience while fishing is one of greatest gifts the good Lord has given us who choose to venture out on the waters. When I'm not fishing, chances are you'll find me packin the back country with my camera gear capturing that beauty on film. My second favorite activity.

When I get to the lake it is as if nothing else exists in the world. I am in my own world of
peace and relaxation. There isn't anything greater. Good luck to all this season.

hunting and fishing are the 2 best ways to see nature at it's best. it's sad that so many people go through life only seeing what is within eyesight of a blacktop road.

You know, i feel bad for people who don't fish. It is very relaxing and relaxation is good for you.

watching the sun come up and burn the fog off the water while no one else is around is just good for the soul...
