Default Fishing Scales

I have this scale. Where are you suppose to put the hook? I have heard people sale in the gill others say through the mouth.

through the gill slits. I feel they're innacurate, it told me my 4 pounders were 2 pounders.

yeah the rapala scales have a tendency to be incorrect.i dont use a scale,theres really no need for one unless i catch a record fish or something

a tip I heard was to use a plastic bag splashed with a little water inside to weigh a fish.

If you wanna check the accuracy of a scale, which I think digitals are almost spot on, buy a certain poundage of hamburger and weigh it..see what the scale tells ya, and then you'll know how accurate it is.
