Technique Recommendation
I own a few rods that I haven't used in..........forever.
They are the old Quantum Energy rods I bought 10+ years ago. Any thoughts on what techniques I can throw with them if I add a reel? Casting - Quantum Energy 6'0" Medium Heavy Casting - Quantum Energy 6'6" Medium Casting - Quantum Energy 6'6" Medium Heavy Tony |

The 6' MH should be good for heavier spinnerbaits.
The 6'6" M should work for topwaters, small spinnerbaits, shaky heads. The 6'6" MH should work for t-rigs. BB

Do you think that 6'6" MH could be used for senkos? I need a rod dedicated to that. Tony |

I would prefer a longer rod too and might build one this winter, but for the time being I might try out this rod with a baitcaster for senkos.
Thanks for the help! Tony |

Not sure what I would use the 6'0" MH rod for, But I would use the 6'6" M for topwaters and shallow to medium diving crankbaits. The 6'6" MH would be my spinnerbait rod. I think I would use the 6'0" MH rod for casting from shore, as the shorter length really comes in very handy around overhanging branches.

I've got a 6' MH rod, and I've mainly used it for throwing Spooks...it's easier to walk the dog using a shorter rod, to me.

Sounds like everyone pretty much has you squared away. I would also add that you can use the 6'6" medium rod for smaller crankbaits and the 6'6" medium heavy rod for larger deeper diving crankbaits.

I donīt see any problem fishing jigs & soft plastics with a 6 MH, most of my rods are 6 ft long.
