Default Slimed the boat

Wasn't to much of a numbers day, only 5 fish, but a couple of nice chunks. The Lord shined a light on me for the first fish though, it is a good fishing tale hahahaha! And I will write it up a little later. But here are some pics from yesterday at Lake Okhissa.

Seems like a great day, but now I'm just anxious for the story. Always fun to catch quality fish.

Looks like a great day, except for the thunderstorm you had to ride out. Glad you broke the new boat slump.

You had a good day out there, I got more jealous as the day went on. The story of the first one is definitely worth telling, best fishing story I've heard in awhile. I'm really happy you finally got your boat and are enjoying it. You deserve it.

Well, I tried a jika rig for about 3 hours and finally junked it. Another time, another day. So I had moved to one of my favorite points and got a t-rig with a Berkley Havoc and made a few throws and finally a bang. I was QA testing the Phenix K2 I built for a guy who paid for the parts, but has been overseas and hasn't got to finish the transaction. But he did give me his blessing on it. Anyways, I made a chunk on a tree top next to the channel and she inhaled it. I set back and she just flat out pulled. I got her coming to the boat and she changed her mind and made a hard surge back in the tree. I felt her wrapping but I couldn't change her back around. I quit feeling any movement so I got my lure retriever and extended it out about 10'. I looped the coil on the line and went to jobbing on it. I felt something and thought it was me rubbing limbs and the rod almost fell out of my hands. Then I saw the fish flash and I realized she was still on. So here I am flopping around with a $400 rod and the retriever still in the line. I finagled and finally got everything situated and lipped her. Ahhhhh, the sliming was complete!
