ok gang........i got a little announcement to make. as ya'll know HAYDENBASSKID is my nephew. he attends HAYDEN HIGH SCHOOL in HAYDEN, ALABAMA. he just told me he is now on the official bass fishing team. they have 5 teams (2 per team). he is not one to brag or anything, but i know he is so excited about this as i am FOR him.
so if ya'll would, please give him all of your support and wish him and his team mates luck in the coming season. it starts in feb and ends in may (i think). he is a sophmore this year and is really a great fisherman. yes gang.....better than me. i know ya'll will help him out as much as you can.
also......and i kinda hate to ask this cause i don't want to bother everyone here with requests. and he hasn't ASKED ME TO DO THIS EITHER. i am asking on my own for him. so here goes..........
if any of you that make baits would like to donate some to his team or to the school. we will do our best to get a patch made with your logo to put on their jackets (which i think is so dang cool by the way,lol). you aren't gonna be disinherited if you don't, i understand completly. but if you feel inclined, i personally thank you in their honor.
so if you would like to donate some stuff, pm me and i'll get you the address. and THANKS A MILLION IN ADVANCE!
i am so excited for him because playing football and FISHING is all the young man wants to do. although he does very well in his school work too. i told him to go to college and he says he plans on it. he has told me several times his dream is to become a profesional bass fisherman. this could open some doors for him in that direction.

Good luck HBK!!! John, I'm sure he's going to do well. He definately sounds like the kind of young man we need more of. You have every right to be proud. You'll have to keep us updated on how his team does throughout the season.
