If its getting spark and its getting fuel, it should run.Make sure you don't have the spark plug wires crossed on it.I bought a 25 hp Mercury for $15.00 at a auction, tag said " wouldn't run". When I dragged it home,it had spark and was getting fuel, but wouldn't run. After 3 hours of messing around yanking on the damned rope, trying starting fluid, new plugs, it was a dead peice of junk. My uncle showed up, switched the plug wires around and it started.I have been running it for 8 years now, best peice of junk I ever bought. P N J

First off are you sure that it is getting spark at the plugs??? You didnt say when you posted. After you let me know this I can help you get probably one of the best tiller handle motors running they ever made.

No spark is probably an indication of bad points. Be rady to pay out the teeth for points bud. Last set I bought cost me $87.52 and hard as hen's teeth to get. Be sure and check compression be for going any farther. Dont want to spend money on a motor that is already short on life.
