Default This little piggy......

came up and slurped down a LC lv5 in a color I like to call Padilla's Nightmare along the sea wall. You want to talk about a chunk of a fish check out the gut on this fish!!! They're definately feeding up for the winter.

Last tournament of the year. Only weighed two keepers. Missed a couple more. Tough fishing. Ended the year with 134.2 lbs in 16 tournaments or roughly 8.4 lbs per tournament. Probably close to a 2lb per fish but don't have the total fish caught. Not the best year for me but I'll take it.

The thing about that fish is that it wasn't that long. This one maybe got to the 14.5" mark or 15" but it weighed 2.5 or so. Sometimes in the spring you catch one like this and it's 14 7/8" and you have to toss it back. That kills you!! Especially in the money tournaments on the river.
The size of the mouth gives them away. The 14" fish have small mouths and when they get over 15" you can tell just by the mouth. Not a lot of space between my thumb and the upper lip in the picture.

Damn, Smitty. That fish's profile looks more like a Smallie...there's a reason they call them footballs...

Nice piggy!
