Default Excalibur crankbait

Just curious as to whether Excalibur makes rattling crankbaits? The only ones I've ever seen are silent models.

I got a couple of the lipless rattling cranks. They are awesome. Cast a country mile and run straight. Much better than the bill lewis rat-l-traps

Excalibur used to have some rattling crankbaits, such as Swim'n Image and Fat-Free Shads, but they rebranded those to Heddon and Bomber, respectively. I don't know what they're doing with that brand these days.

Marty is correct. Excalibur used to make the FF Shad and other baits, which are now rebranded and sold as Bomber or others.

Now revived (and still owned by Pradco), the company (now called XCalibur) makes some great baits like the Jimmy, Zell Pop, Xr50 lipless cranks (and variants), and their new (silent) square bill cranks. But as far as I know, they don't make a regular rattling crankbait.

I'm pretty sure you can still buy Excalibur crankbaits, they look just like Bomber baits and I assume they have rattling models. I know Dick's stores carry them.

Xcalibur baits are a completely different animal and double the price but are very good baits.

Ok, I didn't realize about the Bomber and Heddon baits being previously owned by Excaliber. I guess the crankbaits I'm talking about are the Xcaliber silent square bills of which I've got 3. I was looking for rattlin vedrsions and can't find any. Would be nice if they offered such.

I love the XCalibur baits and have a few of the square bills myself. I'm pretty sure they don't come in a rattling version, although that would be nice.

As much as I hate to seem like I'm buying into the whole "If KVD uses it, it must be the best lure on earth" thing, those KVD square bills are nice cranks and do come in a rattling version.

I hear ya Anthony. I have a couple of those too. I have quite a few things from Strike King. I like their lineup, especially the KVD stuff. Not because it has his name on it, but because they are well made baits.
