steering cable stratos 295
Has anyone here replaced the steering cables on a 1996 stratos 295? Do you remember what length the were! Mine has a 6" jackplate!
I do not want to remove them completly as they do still work and I can fish the way they are. Sure enough if I remove them I will get the wrong ones and have the boat setting till I get the right ones!

Run a string from helm down the side of boat and back to the motor, cut and measure.Just run the contours of the cable routing. Its better to be to long than short.

I called Stratos Boats and they were very helpfull, they looked back into there archives and found that the 295 used a 14' System. Great customer service on a 13 year old boat!
