Cheap tackle organizer
This guy said he had about $5.00 in this set up. The rod he got got at Lowes. The little white cable clips that you use to mount wires or a cable to a wall, holds the rod in place and the badge clips to hold the lures.

I'm working on something similar in my boat. I found little curtain rod and metal clips at Walmart, plus some metal brackets and self-tapping screws from Lowe's. Haven't had a free day to put it all in yet, but one day.....
I've got maybe $7-$8 in materials.

That looks great. I have one of those go to systems and some of the spinner baits and jigs and chatter baits always fall off. Think I will try to replace it with this idea. Thanks

That's not condensation...I took the cover off the other day and let it get rained on, like a dummy. That one compartment doesn't have a rubber gasket like all the rest of them do, so the water leaked in.
I'm not really happey with the rod I used...it's just a really cheap curtain rod from Walmart, and it's flexing some with the weight of the bags. I'm going to find something a little sturdier and re-do it sometime.

That's the easiest part, though...the boat monkey is a great help with that step...

Mallen.......there are a TON of rigs out there really cheap now. Step one is easier now.
daniel, what are you going to use for the rod instead of the curtain hanger rod? i am thinking of an aluminum tube. Seeing it is lighter than stainless steel. I got so much weight on my cajun now as it is and don't wanna add more.

I dunno for sure. One day this week I might swing by Lowe's and see what they have. I really don't think that stainless/aluminum is really going to matter as far as weight. A stainless steel rod might weigh a pound or two, so I'm not really concerned about that.
By the way, did you notice the lure all by itself in the second picture?

Yes i saw the HELICPOTER LURE buddy. And you're probably right on the weight. 1-2 pounds ain't gonna matter that much i guess

I would like to do this on my boat but I am afraid the heat from storage under a cover in the summer would kill the plastics. Does anyone on here leave their plastics in their boat under a cover in the sun over the summer? I pull everything out when I store it, rods, electronics and tackle.
