Electric anchoring...
I have a LOWE ST 175 and would like to put an electric anchor on the bow; however, there isn't too much real estate up there so I was wondering if anyone has tried/done this and if so, how? I fish the Susquehanna river and typically need an anchor fore and aft - I would like to be able to drop and raise both anchors from the back of the boat so I was gonna put an electric anchor - like a deckhand 40 on the bow and an anchormate on stern with a switch to deploy/raise the bow anchor on the helm. Any thoughts, suggestions on this? Thanks!

I know nothing about electric anchors and can be of relativly little help, maybe someone will see this...
Over the summer, I was gonna try and make one from an old trolling motor motor, but I got sidetracked...and I use a retractable dogleash with a barbell tied to it for my kayak... yeah, I know that was useless information...

While I have not done it, I have one of the guys in my club who has. He found that the best situation was to remove the bow deck and install it under there. He added a second anchor guide to the hole in the deck and hasn't had too many issues.
