I seen a video on Wired2Fish where Terry Scroggins uses a 60 degree jig hook for flipping. He heats it up a little (with a torch I assume) and slightly straightens the eye out. He said that he is always looking for a better hook but he said that he hasn't found a better one yet. The hooks you are looking at have a 30 degree eye so I would guess they would work. To me it looks like you would have problems with the bait sliding down so you might want to either use super glue to hold the bait up or use some heat shrink tubing to make a barb for a bait keeper.

I don't know if I'd use jig hooks for regular fishing. Like Kory said, it'd be tough to get plastics to stay on them. Maybe you could use them and get a spring keeper like Owner's CPS, but then you're not saving much money over buying regular hooks.

I think that keeping the plastics up would be the biggest problem. But with super glue or shrink tubing I think that problem could be prevented.

I'm not just going to use the hook. I'm also getting the springs to go with the hook. Sorry i forgot to mention that.

I'd slip one of these on it! http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner...age-OCPSS.html
I really like twist lock hooks senko fishing, and putting them on would save some real bucks as appose to these, assuming the hooks are good. Edit... looks like you already had that idea, lol.
