Great idea.
$750 to own
$100 to rent
May be a good hobby, like having a metal detecter.

Pretty nice.
If you lost a rod n reel over the side, it would be well worth it to rent one.
I wouldn't do any fishing that day either.
I'd be lookin for stuff others dropped

I bet a guy could pay for it pretty quick if he ran an ad on craigslist recovering peoples lost items for $50.

keith you probably could pull up a ton of stuff from the end of piers and docks. Would be like finding a needle in a haystack out in the main body of water. Might be able to find some jewlery and such from swim areas.

Beats putting on my diving gear, especially now, with water temps hovering around freezing!

A guy told me a story once about having his Steez/Gloomis fall overboard and never did find it. He'd be $200 to the good if he bought this outright! For the most part I can see marinas renting these out.
