Past Thread
I'm to lazy to search out the thread but someone commented on throwing plastics away, not in the water....I Can't Believe He Ate The Whole Thing
Read the story of this bass This bass was caught in a farm pond and brought in to be mounted. When it was cut open it had the 19 pieces of plastic worms in the picture in its stomach. Two still had hooks in them! The bass weighed about 8.5 pounds and was in healthy shape. |

Hey Joe thats an interesting pic. I once cleaned a bass that had two english pea sized rocks in his stomach, I can only guess he slurped them up while smashing a crawdad. He could have easily puked them up or let them pass, maybe he just kept um in his pocket for luck? The consensus in the last thread you mentioned was that its best to throw used plastic in the boat rather than in the water.

That bass must have been one of the lucky ones. I have caught a few through the years that looked very sick. They had so many baits lodged in the stomach that there was no room for food. I don't know why they couldn't puke them out, maybe they just felt full and didn't know better.
