Default While you were out...

I went to Bass Pro Shops today to do some looking around, as some of you know I'm looking for a new Rod and Reel. And as I am set on my Reel of choice the rod is another story. But im not here to discuss that right now, I wanted to tell yall that right now the XPS Rick Clunn Baitcasting rods are on clerance and they are going from $99.00 to $79.00 and the cranking rod is down from $69.99 to $49.99. Not sure if any of you are intrested in this but the Rod seemed like a real good rod after holding both and toying with both.

P.S.- I compared the BPS: Pro Qualifier reel next to the Shimano Citica, and I love the Pro Qualifier's feel over the citica. It felt more sturdy!

Yea it had the "powerhump", its suppose to help prevent carpal tunnel syndrome? (what the saleman said at bass pro) I though liked the overall feel of the rod and it has me pretty intrested with the price drop.

I bought a "Powerhump" 1 time. It's like fishing with 4 different brands of reels. It takes a minute to get used to it everytime you pick it up and I never really liked it in the long run. Just my opinion though. It makes a great gift after you realize you don't like it though.

I've got one of those Rick Clunn rods and I've liked it so far. It's a bit on the heavy side but for the price it's a pretty nice rod.

I knew I didn't like the powerhump grip, but until recently I didn't know exactly why. Turns out, the foregrip is bigger around than most rods. Since I have smaller hands, it makes it difficult for me to palm the reel with my index finger on top of the rod. But the part behind the reel seat doesn't bother me so much.

That commercial gives me the creeps! And the Dell commercial, where the guy is buttoning up his overalls and their is a man standing behind him singing "Lollipop". What was going in there in the dark? Makes me uneasy about Dell and their motives. That's the reason I didn't care for the PH either though, small hands.

Man, a good cranking combo for 120, staring me in the face, and I don't have money!!!

Now's when I'm glad I don't have a credit card!
