Smile Little brothers b-day is coming up - he wants a baitcaster!

Hey fellas, my little brothers birthday is coming up. I asked him what he wants for a gift, he said he wants to get a bait caster! I learned him pretty good on my old bait caster, and he can use it just fine!

As of now, I looking at getting an Abu Silver max / lighting rod combo at dicks. Me and my dad are wondering if we should get him a 6' rod, or 5'6" rod?

So what do you guys think we should get him?

Oh! btw, he's turning 9!

I have a daughter the same age. She is currently using a 6'6" rod. Spinning or casting, she's down with it. However, with drop shotting being her go to technique, she's a bit rusty with the casting equipment as of late.
