What State would you choose
If you had a chance ot live in any State in the US, which would it be and why. This is obviously directed at fishing and hunting States. So none of the NY stuff where they can only fish for Bass SOME of the time

I'm pretty content here in E. Washington. Great bass fishing (although there'll never be a new world record takin from here), great hunting if you like it (deer, elk, game birds, etc.) and all around other species fishing (walleye, salmon, trout, sturgeon, catfish, perch, crappie, bluegill). Ice fishing, if your into that.

I would either say Alabama or Tennessee, Those to me are the most beautiful states I have ever been in.

To quote Charlie Daniels, "They call it Texas, it's a mighty fine place to be!"

Heck, I can't limit it to just one state. There are plenty of reasons I want to be in each Wisconsin, Florida, Texas, NC, Bama, California, SC, and Georgia.

I ain't sure I could keep a steady job where there is bass fishing year round. We can also go ice fishing. We go as far as carting lazy boy recliners , BBQ grills out on the lake while fishing.Try that in Alabama or Texas. P N J

I just counted and I have been to 34 states. Of all I like NC the best. Mountains in the west, beach in the east, lakes in the middle, etc.

I'll have to add my vote for dear old home... Virginia. We have bass, trout, and many other species, and that's before we get to the saltwater fishing. We've got mountains, rolling hills, flatlands, and ocean. We have some of the best smallie fishing... New River, James River, Rappahanock River, Chickahominy River. We have some good whitetail hunting, bear, turkey, squirrel, grouse, quail, etc. We have four distinct seasons... and the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains, some of the most gorgeous in the U.S. In fact, I can't think of anything that we don't have here
