Shouldn't be a problem to use your old mount with the new TM. When I need a new one I'll stay with MG and just use the old mount if I can.

i think my mount is a gator. let me check and get back to ya. by the way i love mine. if you mean by "flex", it kinda pops under , like a spring. mine does that i like that. saves the blame thing when you hit a log or something. sure used hard last weekend. hitting everything!! hahaha.

sorry it took so long to get back on this guys. but my trolling motor mount is the flex gator mount. only used it once so far and it gave me no problems. it works like it is suposed to. my only problem is whenever i hit something. the trolling lotor shuts down. i have to pick it up and set it back down again. it is safety switch. automaticaly shuts off the trolling motor so you don't burn it up. i'll just have to get used to it. oh and one other thing, it is only about 56 pound thrust. next year i will get a more powerful one.
