Spring Boat Prep.
Spring Boat Prep list:
Review all owners manuals Check air in trailer tires Tighten nuts, bolts, and screws on: boat, trailer, outboard motor, trolling motor, outboard motor support Tighten lug nuts on trailer wheels Grease wheel bearings Lubricate trailer hitch and trailer ball Tighten all bolts on trailer hitch and trailer ball Clean car-to-trailer light connection Wax boat Clean transducers Fill gas and oil tank Lubricate outboard motor per owners manual Clean trolling motor plug/receptacle with sandpaper. Clean, gap, and replace spark plugs in outboard motor Charge batteries and reconnect to wiring, add water if necessary Organize tackle, sharpen hooks Lubricate reels and replace line Remove both props, inspect for line Grease outboard prop shaft splines. Lubricate foot pedal hinge pin and steering in pedal & head of motor. Restock storage areas in boat Clean depth finders and install Adjust idle speed on outboard motor Grease seat bases in boat Calibrate hand-held electronics and check batteries Check boat for leaks Check fire extinguisher level Check all electronic equipment in boat
