Default plywood

what is it costing these days?
i am going to build a front deck for my jon boat next week and need a 4'x4' sheet of treated plywood. does anyone know roughly what this will cost me?

save your money get the exterior grade plywood...

epoxy won't stick to pressure treated...

will it last though? i dont want it to rot and have to be replaced every 6 months

Zook works in these matters and knows, but I have heard treated lumber contains chemicals that react badly with aluminum.

I have used regular plywood and coated the top with fiberglass. Its ok looking, very sturdy, should last a few years as water beads on the top when it rains.

They do sell fiberglass sheets now, you can look at them but I think they are a bit thin without something else to support it. It would look awesome if done right though.

went and priced it today...32$ for an 8'x4' sheet of treated and 23$ for a sheet of untreated

going back to buy all the stuff to build it tomorrow.

just bought my rod straps and new seat....hope it turns out good

i did my floor in un-treated it and soaked about half a gallon of thompsons water seal into it.

i will take some pics for sure

i am thinking about doing a back deck too...but i cant figure out how to do that and still be able to drive(its got a tiller handle, not a steering wheel)

ive got the front deck covered, i should have it done by the weekend.
if i decide to do the back to, i will let u know, cuz i will need some ideas for sure...lol

Fishin Spro, checkout the site called "Tinboats.net"!!! This site has some pretty good ideas on how to hookup a jonboat.
