Default Hey Capt Mike

I am in vegas next week and considering getting a guide to hit up lake mead. What is considered a decent percentage to tip in your line of work.

Thanks

20 minumun per person. I have had tips as high as as 200.00 for two fishermen.

On bay charters that cost 650 for five person we tip the mate 40 each

If a great time is had and fish are caught then more.

One guy gave me a cooler of half-gallons of every booze you could imagine. 10 bottles total and the cooler.

Remember the mate works for tips only.

Kinda of a trick question..

If the two person charter runs 375.00 hand him 420.00

Get the feel for it?

Got it. The trip will be $300 for the convict bass and $350 for Largemouth, I am hoping to find someone to join in since it is the same cost for 1 or 2 fishermen.

Follow on question, all of the guides state that they have gear to provide. Do you prefer that people use your gear or bring their own? I ask since Vegas has a BPS and I am sure the bait monkey will whisper in my ear while I am there.

Use the guides stuff. Planes and rods tend to disagree with each other.

If I were going on a plane, I would not even think about it, but I am driving out for the trip. Work pays 55 cents a mile and it is cheaper for them than air plane and rental car. Funny enough, the differnce in my gas and what I am getting is what made me think about getting a guide.
