Nebraksa wears RED, Alabama and Oklahoma both wear Crimson (its a deeper color, much more specific than Nebraska's), the difference is Oklahoma's white is just a wee bit tainted with color wheras we are pure white.

Jus' funnin, jus' funnin...there is some sort of love thing between OU and 'Bama ('specially since we put a 77-0 on Dennis after he skipped to Aand/orM) that began when we played them a few years ago, home and home. The results will not be mentioned here out of respect for The Bear.
Both teams fans have, ever since, lauded each other for the great hospitality and grace shown the visitors to Norman and *Tuscaloosa, team and fans alike.
They've even forgiven us for the fake punt that resulted in a TD.

Favor? Let's see-2 fired coaches and turned down by everyone you have offered the job to since he left. I wouldn't consider that a favor. Nice spin on the NFL/after the bowls to make a selection, though. I was about ready to say dump Fran earlier in the year, but 9-3, all 3 losses by 6 points total and a win against the nutless bovines at their house gained him a reprieve. For now

For perspective, note that Weiss was not ND's first choice. Carroll was not USC's (he was choice 4 or 5). Tressell was 4 or 5 on OSU's list. Callahan was not Nebraska's first choice. Every major vacancy has gone through a similar period looking for a coach, it is a historical fact. Where are those programs now? Huh? Huh? Yea thats right, nothing you can say to that cuase its all true.

Also note that ESPN has been wrong several times this past month, from reporting that it was a done deal that Shula was staying to reporting that it was a done deal that RR was coming. Actually, RR had agreed to come but chickened out when he got back to WVA. Probably his mountain-born wife that made the decision.

As for why Shula was fired, it was an internal discipline problem that lead to the poor performance of the team this year. Perhaps he would have saved his job this year by beating auburn, BUT IT WOULD BE THE EXACT SAME SITUATION THAT YOU GUYS ARE DEALING WITH, IE THINKING THAT BEATING AUBURN OR TEXAS EXCUSES PITIFUL PERFORMANCES AGAINST THE BAYLORS OR MSU'S OF THe WORLD.

See, you guys are just delaying the inevitable, and we decided that to do so would just waste our time. So enjoy next year, aggie.

Its the dead period right now. We need to get one in, but at least the next few days people arent going to be thinking football much. We have already pretty much filled out our numbers with commits, and only I believe 2 have left so far...

But one more time, just cause the national media is running with this idea that everyone has turned us down, doesn't make it so. The people at ESPN are the same hacks that took over BASS, so well...that speaks for itself.

For instance, they said Saban turned us down. Apparently that isn't entirely true, and thats who most think we are looking at now - but after the dolphins finish the year.

Good point on ESPN. In the bowl breakdown they had Desmond Howard say as his most intriguing bowl was the Holiday with a Cal-texas matchup. He even went so far as to say he was looking for the matchup between Aaron Ross and the Cal star receiver. Problem is, texas is playing in the Alamo Bowl.

The night before Rodriguez held his PC, every media outlet in the country just started reporting the same bogus article that was reported by I think the BHAM NEWS, without any souces of their own.
