it was a tough day. 15 boats 27 guys neted 5 fish TOTAL big fish was 2.5 pounds... consitering the quality of talent aboard them boats. i felt pretty good at not weighin a fish..
water was 47-54 degrees clay bank muddy with tons of floating debris i did manage to shoot a bit of video from the shot gun seat. while we were headed in this is how rough it was the boat -not mine- is a 18'6'' champion we did catch air off the wake btw.. zooker

yeah the only good thing that came from it was. one of the ycg guys gave me a bag that contained 3 cranks. a lucky craft fat cb-dr, a moonsault cb 100, and an un marked bait.. btw both lucky crafts are in colors you CAN'T buy them in.. he said at the classic -red river- lucky craft were given out hand fulls of baits to the anglers..he fished as a non boater..and still did not catch a blasted fish today either..
i am glad to be done with mud rock and looking forward to fishing my favorite lake tuckertown next.. zooker

I know how ya feel.....got to fish today for the first time this year, and although I never got a bite, I still had a good day.....it was a beautiful day out.....air temps were about 75 degrees, and to my surprise the water temps were 59-65 degrees, depending on which cove we were in....I didn't expect the water to be that warm so I wasn't sure what to do.....I threw soft plastics, hard jerkbaits as well as my favorite spinnerbaits, but no go.....no matter....still had fun.

My tournament on High Rock is April 25th. Never fished it before. What should I be expecting?

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. I'll let you know how the advice on Falls goes, too. My date with falls is next Saturday. It seems we fish all the same lakes for tourneys. Thanks for sharing your spots with me.
