Folks,

We have confirmation that Bama and Mississippi are fine. Does anyone have any info on any of the other folks out that way?

Bama is the only person from down this way that I've talked to. haven't heard from Bender or fishnngolfin or nmanley or anybody else yet. Hope they check in soon and that they're all ok.

Inmade it through with no damage to my house. Tornado passed right by and leveled many houses in my little town and killed several people. I don't know all the details yet. I'm without power and internet barely works on my phone. It was pretty scary when I heard the noise of it, I was hiding in my bathtub. There is all kinds of activity on my quiet street so hopefully they have freed people that were stuck after the storm.

Glad to see you guys made it through alright. I also heard from John, but not anyone else.

The storms this year have been crazy... We even had a tornado warning yesterday.

Bama says that WTL checked on him last night about 10 p.m., after the worst of it had gone through, so he's apparently ok, too.
Nmanley posted this morning on the "Tornadoes in Alabama" thread, so he's ok.

EDIT: Bama says he's working hard, can't text. He'll post something when he gets home.

Seriously, he must be working really hard, because I would have sworn Bama could text pics of fat chicks in his sleep.

Glad to hear everyone is doing OK. We really didn't get much of anything down here other than heavy rain. With the north's harsh winter, and the mid's tornado/rainy spring. I hope this doesn't reflect what hurricane season is going to look like.

Praying for everyone that was affected.

I'm OK, the storms didn't make it quit to here. Tuscaloosa might have been hit as hard as any city ever has though. This is probably the worst tornado event in the history of America with the number of storms and the severity.

Bama says he's now without phone, internet, tv, electricity...poor guy is living in the Stone Age. Well, he has a generator, so it's not quite that bad. Says he'll be back here when he can.

Just found this thread. I'm good and way south of the devastation this time. Thanks for this thread and the support of internet friends.

A lot of things in western Kentucky are flooded. We have had 11 inches of rain from last Friday night until this past Tuesday. The only damage I have had is some lost shingles that I never found. The Ohio River is now against the flood wall at Paducah. Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake will set record levels this weekend (all the boat ramps are under water and so are the parking lots). People in small towns in this area have their homes in the water. There has been so much death and destruction in the last week across this great Country that it is unreal. We should all take a moment and pray for everyone affected.
