Don't ask me why
Ok a few weeks ago I got the chance to do the reel swap at B.P.Shops it was a march break madness sale and got a voucher for trading my old reel in. So against better judgement I opted to go for a spinning reel. Thing is it's been over 15 years since I've used a spinning rod I don't kno which line would be good for this application. I use power pro all the time and I know I could use it on my spinning reel, but was wondering if you guys had any input on good line you have used with low memory, good knot ties, low strech, and good against abration. thanks for any replies in advance.
Robby. (Bait casters rule by the way!)

I've found Stren (regular) line to be quite reliable in all of your listed categotries. The stuff's cheap and lasts long.

What are your going to use the rod for? cranking?
pretty much all I use spinning reels. starting to see spinning reels more on the circuit on ESPN. Stren mono is crap! wouldnt use braid on a spinning reel either. I use mono for cranking. I also believe in line visibility. Trilene XL low visibility green is great line, I never use higher than 8lb test, 6lb test you cant see at all. I have to watch for abrasions but I check that regular anyway. But really depends on what your using the rod for. IF you dont mind the price go with a good flurocarbon line.

Rob I used power pro on my spinning rod after I was losing too many baits around pads, etc. I was losing to many baits at first with the power pro but that was until I learned to tie a Palomar knot. I did notice A slight drop off in bites on a very clear lake with senko type baits. No problem on stained or muddy water. I also used magnaflex for a clear line and had good results with it.

Stick with the Powerpro, if you want a leader use P-Line copolymer Lizards
