Default Southeast Fishin

seperatly what do you guys use in the south east (SC NC GA FL ) mainly..

so i have some sort of heads up on what to use. top water should be ready in a few days so i'll try the poppers (black and white) and buzz baits while also throwing tequila shads and watermelon/reds t-rigged with a spinner bait thrown in.

what else? and when?

I like buzz baits and tiny torpedos for topwater. Spinnerbaits and Green Pumpkin Green trick worms for subsurface baits. Works in GA.

top picture is a brim colored bait using it around the spawn is killer. -fished over beds- i use 2 colors of buzzbaits white and white/chartruses. always add a trailer hook. want a mod them using a small drill bit punch a couple holes half way between the shaft and the bend in the wing..

i personally perfure cavation buzzers..

Middle one is a propbait, they are among my favorite topwaters. I throw them at grass and visible cover. I dont try and cover a lot of water with them. Sharp, accurate casting - lay them down in a pocket next to some brush and let it sit 4 seconds - then pop it hard enough to get the blades to chug - let it sit 3 seconds - then a quick, smart double pop - wait another 4 seconds - pop it one more time - reel it in 4 feet - stop it to see if a bass is following - then reel it in all the way and repeat somewhere else. It aint a numbers bait, but they are fun to fish and produce some nice fish.

As for other techiniques that are needed to know - first off I recomend picking a couple and really focusing, getting good - dont wanna be "jack of all trades, master of none"

But at some point you will need to learn to flip and pitch. Do you fish santee cooper?
