for me personally, ive found that a texas rig works really well with lizards, also you can just switch to a worm if needed without adjusting anything, i reccomend zoom watermelon seed in the summer and cherry seed in the fall/winter, just sayin its worked for me ive landed a few 7 and 8 lbs last year with it

That is why I have switched almost entirely to plastics. You can present many different baits, sizes, colors, weights, etc. without having to retie hooks and lures. Plus you can fish plastics with different styles. Topwater (walking the dog), slow sinking, crimp a split shot on the hook and you have a deeper presentation. You also don't have much down time while out on the water.

I use them a great deal. I also like to cast them next to vertical cover with a 1/8 or 1/16 oz lead head. I fish them with a lite wire hook like a floating worm in the spring. I also T Rig them in the summer. If your lake has them naturaly they will work great. Fish2win

Sometimes if the bite is slow I let the lizard sink to the bottom for a minute and then I start to slooooooooooooooowly drag it across the bottom. I get a lot of bites that way.
