Read this. If you get it let me know.
A feeling, for which I have no name, has taken possession of my soul -- a sensation which will admit of no analysis, to which the lessons of by-gone time are inadequate, and for which I fear futurity itself will offer me no key. To a mind constituted like my own the latter consideration is an evil. I shall never, -- I know that I shall never -- be satisfied with regard to the nature of my conceptions. Yet it is not wonderful that these conceptions are indefinite, since they have their origin in sources so utterly novel. A new sense, a new entity is added to my soul.

Awesome, JB. You must be very well read. None of my myspace friends knew it and you got the author right away.
It is Poe (my favorite author/poet ever), but it's from a short story entitled 'Manuscript found in a bottle'. I think if you read the whole thing you'd get more from it. http://www.poestories.com/text.php?file=manuscript

Funny TRUE Poe story, At a local beauty pageant a contestant professed to be a big fan of poetry. When the moderator inquired as to her favorite poet she claimed Poe. The moderator continued his questioning, asking why she enjoyed Poe. The contestant responded, reading his poems made her feel really good and happy!
If you know Poe you know why that is funny! I sort of got the same sense from it as JB, as well as an odd sense of discomfort, but at the same time satisifaction with knowing one will never truly know all that one desires to know regardless of experience...

Go and get yourself an appointment with a therapist and repeat it to him or her and see what reaction you get.......probably prescribed a bunch of pills for depression and put on suicide watch.

I can't believe I missed that. I love Poe. Always have. My husband bought me a book of poems and stories from him when we were dating. If you like Poe , check out Sylvia Plath, she's pretty cheery too!

Once upon a midnight dreary while I pondered weak and weary.........
Not take offense at lake lice, wake boats or skiers? Quoteth the raven, NEVERMORE!!!!!!!! Seriously, never read much Poe. Always enjoyed Shakespeare( the bard, not the fishing tackle company, although I have nothing against theri gear).
