Default Lakes, Rivers or Ponds?

Where dose everyone do most of their fishing? If you have a minute, tell us where and why you fish there. My handle will tell you I fish the Rivers, and I do because they are more accessible for me. I believe the rivers are harder to fish than the lakes and ponds, What do you think?

I fish them all, even a lake/river/reservoir as its one of the best trophy lakes in the country, I'll give ya a hint, look at my screen name. They all have their pros and cons. Seems easier to catch fish in a pond, but the size is limited. Lakes tend to hold bigger fish than ponds but because of the increased size of the lake, its sometimes hard to figure out the fishes patterns and where they might be. Rivers seems to hold more fish, but again, same thing as the lakes, the increased size makes it harder to find the patterns and locations, plus you have currents to deal with. As far as which one I like more, whichever one I can go to and relax, yes sometimes its hard to. On the river I have to deal with other boat traffic (almost any wake can flip my boat if I don't shift my own weight properly), on some of my favorite ponds I occasionaly have to deal with ATV's screaming all around (not good if you're trying to relax), and lakes I have to deal with winds, ATV's, and sometimes other boats. Being that I have a 9' jon boat and a jeep, I try to find the most remote lakes/ponds I can find and enjoy myself completely isolated in the middle of the forest.

Lakes 99% of the time. River Stumps, I like to fish rivers and creeks, the bite is more consistant than the bite in the lake. The river fish seem to adapt to the rapid changing conditions and seem to be more active than a bass in shallow lake water will be.They claim the deeper fish on a lake is less effected by a change, but you couldn't get me to believe that.I can't catch them consistanly either. Never rivers. It's ponds when I shore fish and a mix of lakes and ponds when I boat fish with one of my boat-owning friends.

20-30 acre ponds. Quiet, beautiful, and tend to have some great bass structure, especially if weedy and loggy.
