Angry It never fails...

I FINALLY have everything in place to head for the lake this weekend. Only one problem: Cold front with 20-30 MPH winds arriving before dawn Saturday morning. ARRGH!!!!!!

Are you trying to rub it in Reb? As PNJ said, this weekend night is supposed to be -2 here.

Reb, your right, at times it seems that way especially after our long winter hibernation, somehow though I trust that it has a way of making us better fisherman.

Hope you do well tomorrow.

The ice around here isnt thick enough, there have been two deaths this winter in Indiana due to being out on thin ice.

I iced fish back in 92 on Wald Lake in Michigan. It was pretty freaky though seeing all them vehicles out on the uhhhh ice. Wasn't for me. I would've made a bad Eskimo. Go fish the wind Reb. At least you get to go fishing.

I've got the windows open and a fan blowing ~70 degree air into the house to cool it off...was actually sweating a few minutes ago.

Well look at it this way Reb. When I cast a jig or toss a spinnerbait, they just bounce and slide on the ice, lol. But good luck out there. Find a sheltered cove and hunker down. And oh yeah, it's 3 below zero here.

I just got in off the lake for the first time this winter, I walked all over it. Drilled a bunch of holes and didn't even see any fish on the sonar. I don't really know much about ice fishing but it helps to pass the time.

Yeah, it must be tough to be able to actually fish. It warmed up so I went out in the yard and casted a new reel I had just cleaned. The barn cats stalked the practice plug as I casted around the yard. The highlight of the day, just being able to cast in the yard for an hour or so. P N J

When its warm enough to fish that is for the most part all I do when it comes to fishin, well besides visiting the Forum thats about it though, as far as all the maintenance and the work that I do on my equiptment, such as cleaning my reels, organizing my lures, researching & learning new info. on the internet, all that gets done this time of year, anyways its all just a part of it.

I've got to add to the rant.....Couple of groups had plans to take some local kids out on the "hot" side of the lake tomorrow. We had a great time last year and the water is always in the 50-70 degree range. Well this year the Home Owners Association that controls the ramp decided to not allow the event or any tournaments.............basterds. Sucks.

Zooker - you fish in the snow last week. Saw you were getting some snow and wondered if you were on the water. Buzzbait bass in a snow storm - yeah!
