Please help me identify this worm!
Hey, Guys! I'm new to bassfishin.com and thought I'd throw out a new thread. I bought a collection of worms off of e-bay last season, one of the bags had a 6" worm that worked great at the strip pits. However....like an idiot I threw the bag out, it may have been a culprit worm...I'm trying to identify and purchase more of them...any help is greatly appreciated!!
The worm is a 6" ringtail, the core is black (outer shell is clear) and has silver and bronze flakes. Thanks, Brian |

The Culprits that I'm familiar with have a flat side on the body. I'd use that to determine Culprit or not.

Hey man welcome to the site! I noticed you are from Carthage MO too. We live just off of Chapel Road and Fir RD.
The worm looks like it's a Culprit.

First off, Welcome to the site!
While culprit is the only company I've seen with a color scheme like that (solid color inside, clear color outside), I don't think that's a Culprit. Culprit worms SHOULD have "culprit" on or near the base of the tail. Also, that worm looks to be round where it is segmented. Culprit worms have a distinct, flat bottom. Finally, culprit worm (I checked my 6, 7.5 and 10" models) have 13 segments or ribs on the body, that worm has 10. BB

Thanks for the welcomes, everybody..this looks like a great site!
Ok...maybe it's not a culprit (there's no flat sides on the body and it does have 10 segemnts)..there were some Mann's worms in there, Bass Assassin..zoom...a little bit of everything (fairly certain its not a zoom) carolina-rig-1: I'm out by Leggett's headquarters off of 96. We fish the pits out by Pittsburg. |

My wife used to work at Leggett's Corporate out by where you live but a while back she got a promotion and is now the HR manager among other things at Wire Tie out by Kellog Lake. There are some good Pits over in that area. I have even put my bass boat on a few of them lol.

When I opened the package I didn't think much about it (I hadn't tried it yet) but I had heard of all of the companies. I didn't figure it would be this big of a deal to find replacements!
My wife and I both worked at Leggett. I was there for 13 years, Branch 1 (twice), Corporate, Tech Center then in Neosho at Talbot. |

welcome to the best site on the web my friend. be careful of that carolina-rig feller.......he'll get you to change your avatar, hahahaha. (it's coming kory, just wait ok?)
the worm in question may be a HOME poured worm from someones personal stock. it for sure ain't a zoom, culprit or mann's. this is a great place to start out buddy. relax, kick off your shoes, loosen your belt and have fun. ask ANYTHING you want, be ready for some ribbing (infun only) and enjoy yourself most of all.

Never mind what Bama has to say about me, he is just swore because he lost a football bet to me and has to change that ugly avatar picture of his for a month. Well that was the bet but he just keeps telling me to wait, and so far he hasn't changed the picture yet even though I have already resized it and emailed it to him. I am begining to think you might need to watch him instead lol.

Culprit ribbon tail 6" worm has longer tail with out the hook. My guess would be that it's an off brand worm. I can't find one that matches it. Not a Zoom, Gambler, V&M, or Mister Twister either. I even looked at Action Plastics, Barlows, and Phantom Tackle too. Can't find it at Wacky Worm.

Welcome to the place to be off the water. It seems like Mann's or BPS had a core color series a few years ago, but I can't find anything to back it.
