Smile Anyone from oregon?

I am from salem oregon and i fish the willamette river mostly the slough during spawn i was catching alot of small mouth in the shallows it was great but since then am having a hard time catching anything over a pound it is my first year fishing for bas and i ussualy only use rubber worms and crayfish im not real sure on how to use much anything else i was wondering if they might be in the deep i know they go to the current for a while its just very frustrating thnx

welcome to the site. i know of no one on here from OR sorry. deacon could possabily help you he is in norther looney.-cali- fish normally move to currant breaks in rivers the bite in rivers really never shuts down as the water never gets hot. look at deeper currant areas. plastic worms will always work -not sure what kind of crawdad you are refuring to- just have to rig they with heavier weights to get them deeper..

about 25 years ago i bought a used bowling shirt at canal jeans in NYC...on the back it said "Wilamette Car Care" or something similar..it was wilamette though....welcome.i'm in jersey,so i know nothing about oregon.
