It's called a "Detailed and comprehensive response." The purpose thereof is to END THIS THREAD by RE-covering all the bases.

Cheers!

flyboy, ill see if we got to go anywhere tonite or tomorrow and run by dicks while were out ,god i cant wait till i get my license only a week or so. no more having to mooch off moms trips. if i cant find it there i will pm you fly, ill give you money for what it would normally cost. ive been doin the j-knot that past day or so, i got it sorta down, but not i havent done it outide in the wind and such. the lake im going to be at is a resivoir with about 2.5 ft clairity so hopfully that flouro will help, also a cold front moved thru today and they might still be a bit spooky.

airskank-
i also vouch with flyrod and wargoth about braid, ever since i tried it i love it, very limp, if you have a spinning out fit it will be perfect, cast longer than mono, but on a baitcaster when it backlashes sometimes it digs in and can be a bit hard to get out.

p.s. i love your "Detailed and comprehensive responses" flyrod, they are so um detailed and comprehensive, very helpful

No! It's the little piece of paper that comes with the spool stating "Inspected by #30." You see, I trust only her, (a Thai immigrant, real name is Uwannagetiton Tittiporn. English translation; "Lovely Repetitive Carp"...go figure.) so I drive the tackle department nuts by opening all the boxes until I find one that was inspected by Miss Tittiporn.
Coincidentally, I do mean 30 Pound Test as well.

Obviously a VERY patient man.

Yes, but it doesn't kink. See: Time-bomb.

Ilf, there will be no charge for the leader material but if you want it in time for the weekend you need to PM me your name and postal addy ASAP. State choice of test, but I recommend #12 or #15 unless you are expecting to battle ten-pounders among sunken cars and coral reefs (reeves?...nahhhh.) PLEASE REMEMBER; Practice J-knot with mono and old braid to save $$$ and don't forget the tiny drop of super-glue.

Additionally, something I have recently noticed between braid and mono on my BC's is that once you have had a Great Blue Heron take up residence in your reel, the kinking of the mono makes it all the more prone to said bird returning to build another nest. I find that I don't have this issue, or at least it is less pronounced with braid.
