i use a 6'6''mh baitcaster with 15lb clear trilene big game,i am changing my line to fluorocarbon in 17 or 20lb. my favorite colors are watermelonseed, greenpumpkin, and watermelon/red flake. i use a 3/0 mustad ultra point mega bite hook, which i find is prefect for senkos and fluke type baits. i prefer to use tiki sticks, not senkos. they are tougher and cheaper than senkos, and they are about the same.

I use a 6'6" medium spinning rod with 20lb Stren braid. I've really started loving the Strike King 3X stick baits in pearl. They stink to high heaven of garlic and the bass love em. They also are great because I can catch 10 - 15 bass without them ripping to shreads. Something to look into for you guys. I wish they made more than 4 - 5 in a pack though.

I have a 6' Daiwa Med spinning rod and 10 lb Yo-Zuri floro. I am looking at a couple of baitcasting rods though, a Quantum rod and reel combo that is $120 or a St. Croix rod. My favorite colors are watermelon, pumpkin, and a couple of purple colors that i can't think of but have had a lot of luck on.

I use an inferior 6' rod, soon to be replaced by an Airrus, with a Pfluger Echelon reel

senko
The rod/reel I use depends on where I am fishing. Some of my "spots" require longer casts into weeds and around pads... here I would use a 7' med heavy fast tip and last year I used braided line and loved it. If I am closer to structure, trees, or deeper drop offs I will use a shorter rod. Speaking of no weight... I have been adding weight to my senko type baits by wrapping a bunch of coils of lead core trolling line around the hook shank...this allows somewhat faster fall but still maintains the action of "no weight". Colors seem to be green and purple.

For now its a Laguna Madre 6'6" Medium, with a Old Faithful SF Green Curado, prefer 10 lb 'zuri hybrid. Works good for me. I like the senko in watermellon, "junebug", and watermellon creme lami.
