Default Hawg Hunt

Well I had yesterday off, so I decided I was gonna go hit the Hawg Hole(haven't been there in months ). I also decided I was only going for monster size Bass, so I only took 6" swimbaits, 1oz and heavier Jigs with Damnpeoples trailers, deep diving big cranks, 10" worms, and BIG Flukes The day was raining almost all day, the wind was blowing about 20MPH for 3/4 of the day, and I couldn't get to the lake any sooner than 10:30am Well I was gonna fish for that one bite, you know the one from the double digit HAWG!!!!! Well I did get the bite, in some sparse lilly pads, surrounded by reeds and alligator grass(I thinks it's called alligator grass, real viny tough stuff) Anyways I did battle her for all of 5 seconds before she wiggled into some stuff and got off. Yeah I know the questions already, how do you know she was that big Because I saw her at the top of the water, with her back coming out of the water as soon as I set the hook, and I know a double digit bass when I see one Luckily for all those vying for the Big Bass contest the lady won yesterday I do however still have over 11 months to go to get another one for the biggest bass of the year . She did bite on old faithful, the Fin-S Fluke in Alewife, on 50lb Powerpro, with a ST Croix 7' Heavy spinning rod teamed up with a Quantum Pulse 40 reel. It made all the crappy weather worth it I can assure you

Every time I lose one in the slop, it causes me to stick around way longer than I should, trying in vain to get that fish to bite again!
