felt real good this morning..
temp was 20 at 7am on circle drive. water was 45 at the ramp. 5 mintues afore blast off.. i look at my partner for the day and asked "thought there was more in your club?"there is but only 3 boats made the trip to badin this morning from greensboro..they waited about 10 mintues and finally we took off..after a fairly long run we set down on a mid lake hump.. after 30 mintues of dragging cranks over it he switched to a pnj. and proceeded to catch fish..finally i was chunking and winding a pnj also and i catch the first keeper-barely- but a keeper.. we bounced to another mid lake hump. we were fishing it for an hour or so-3 shorts and a keeper later- the next spot he pulls out a 3.4 pound chunk off the hump by chunking a blade letting it fall to bottom and slowly draging it along. full contact on bottom was required..i was doing the same thing with an x-rap.. we stopped at a spot know to my self to be in a slight currant he dropped a pnj down on this spot bounced it once and hooked a toad. a 6.32 pound bass.. i also was banging a pnj around this spot. i hooked up to a good fish but it turned out to be a 8 pound flat head-doh!-.. we both started to get cold so about 1pm we headed toward the launch running into one of the club guys. with the same idea the temp had warmed up but at 75 it was still mind numbing..about 2 pm all of his club members that showed up were ready to weigh in an hour early.. so they weighed in my biggest fish went 2.34 but it was my only bass added to the 5 fish limit.. rest were culled out.. we finished second but took big fish..winner had 5 fish 13.67 pounds.. the bass were biting it was just miserably cold..about every 5 mintues we had this to contend with..
not fun for sure.. and we all were called insane this morning -like thats news to us..- zooker

Zooker I just heard on the radio that with this global warming in 100 years PA should have the kind of weather that NC has right now. I can't wait that long. Maybe I should move south.
