Default Rack And Pinion Steering

My 1994 Stratos has this type...but it seems loose like to many people used the steering wheel as a pull up.. and now the wheel has play is there a way to tighten this up ???

Behind the comsole where the shaft housinf comes through the console is a very large nut. Usually a few turns with a pair od bif channel lock pliers is all that is needed. While your there check for any cracks in the wood. 300lb fellas using the wheel as a pull up is hard on the wood.

Default Thats funny

I tried to pull the steering wheel off yesterday with no luck and I'm almost postive that there is a nut behind the shaft coloum cover thats a little loose
