kentucky lake
i am new to bass fishing and i joind a bass fishing club and are first club tournement is on kentucky lake in march and im not sure if this is prespawn or spawn time and was curious if any one has fished the lake around this time and if thier are certain techniques that woul be best to try

i am not to sure do you know what the water temps are then i might be a little more helpful to you

Yeah, I would lean very heavily towards pre-spawn staging if your tournament is in march. Temperatures usually aren't real consistent above 55 degrees here in Kentucky until very late march, early April.

Kentucky lake should mostly be prespawn then. If its unusually warm you might find a couple on bed though. I assume you are talking the part in north tennessee to kentucky and not down river near shiloh. The further south, the earlier the spawn.

JB, and Fishie fish that lake. It's a nice lake, but was at winter pool when I fished it in a tourney, and very shallow and dangerous if you don't stay in the channels.

Definately stay between the bouys if your on the west side of the lake. I fished there last May for the first time and had a blast. We fished the dam end of it and also fished in Barkley. PM me and I'll let you know a little about what we found down there.
