Default Braid

When it comes to braid, what is your favorite brand? I have tried power pro and still use it but i was wondering if there is anything out there that is better than P.P.? I was thinking about Suffix Braid, and with their rebate plan this year it would work out great!!!

I know PP works for me so well that I don't even have a desire to try anything else. When using 30 lbs test, I don't have to worry about my line breaking, it is thin and can cast a country mile on my spinning setups. The few times I've managed to break PP, I was really really really hung up. I can't complain about any aspect of it so why should I change? Even when casting soft plastics long distances you can still feel bites with a lot of line out, its extremely sensitive line, gotta love the feedback it gives you. When I see the entire bassfishin.com group rant 'n raving about a new line, then I might try something different.

I was a PP man until a buddy turned me on to stren super braid. It's a round braid and it doesn't "dig in" as much as the rest of the braids I've used and it's the softest braid I've found.

I don't use braid very often, but when i do i use stren and i agree with Hef, it's alot more "user friendly" than others i've tried.

Have used PP 10/40 for about a year now and would not change. Besides what is more important $5 bucks or a 10lb. Bass?

When it comes to braided line, if you haven't given stren a try you ought to. I was a P/P man and was happy at first but a few wind knots later and some chaffing ( or discoloring of the line) I went to Stren and never, looked back. I am happy with it. I am not a suffix man. Never tried their braid but I have tried the suckX mono and hated it.. So there was no need for me to waste money on their brand of braid.

Default Power Pro

I use Power Pro in 40 and 50 lb.
Otherwise i'm turning toward Florocarbons, as they become more and more castable!

Powerpro for me. I've tried others, and haven't been nearly as happy. No need to change anymore. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

PP here, too. Haven't tried Suffix, but like Lizards said, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I especially like the new dark green Powerpro.
