What's the depth, water temp and typical cover in the body of water you are fishing?

Suspending jerkbaits, Flukes, Senkos, lipless cranks, and maybe jigs if you work em real slow.

Boy, o boy, I know where your heading... that pond is so dad gum muddy right now it aint even funny. Weeds never really died off from last year and they are in there thicker than I could have imagined right now. Don't mean to dampen your spirts, but cold, cold muddy water and many weeds will make it very tough to catch something...

Your best bet for fishing the mill this time of year is probably targeting the incoming creek in the back of the pond... fish it slow with a weightles or light (1/32 - 1/16 oz.) t-rigged finesse worm or a senko... Try targeting the that whole back portion of the pond until it meets the road, the warmer water should be in the back of the creek arm. Work it slow, and i mean slow!! Good Luck

Ryan

Alright, going to your list I would go with Item A, B, and C.(lipless). rrw4258 said it best to fish the shallow end of the pond and fish it very very slowly. Up in Ohio, I seriously doubt the water temp is going to be above the mid 40s just yet, so anything faster or less visible just ain't going to work for ya!

I would go with a creature bait or a lizard bass should already be spawning near you i would think. Rule of thumb 3 45 degree nights in a row and the fish will start to move. I think lizards are deadly this time of year. I fish a perch color here in NJ in the spring something with brown. But Yum Dingers have never failed me I throw 7inch wacky worm style pumpkin/chartuse,red flake, blue flake. all have been winners for me. If its muddy you should try and throw the One Knocker from Xcalabur. Good luck on the water

From what's on the list - go with the senko, weightless.

I's also try like Ryan said, a 4 - 6" worm/lizard, pumpkin color, or watermelon with 1/8oz - 1/16oz bullet weight. The reason for such a light weight is so that the worm/lizard will not get deep into the weeds as to where the fish will have to dig for it. With a heavier weight, like 1/4oz, that'll happen. I'd also try a suspending jerkbait where it's not to weedy.

I don't think the bass will be near spawning here. Ice out was just a couple weeks ago when we had all the rain, with the nice days, but still very cool nights, the water temps probably haven't risen too much.

I'd still be working early spring lures: suspending jerkbaits, dropshot, and fluke are my three top produces for early spring.
