Making Custom Spinnerbaits
I am looking into making my own spinnerbaits. I know that it is not an easy task but i really want to do it. So I was just wondering if anyone on here already does this or has and if they have what do i need to purchase to get started. I know that i will need a mold, a melter, and the basics(blades, hooks, swivels, skirts, and wire). I was just wondering what else i need to make just a regular spinner bait.
I went to do-itmolds and noticed that there are many different styles of and shapes for the head on the front of the spinners. What is the basic shape??? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Blake.

Go to Stamina Incīs website, it has all the components you need to build a spinnerbait and a chart telling you which components you need depending upon the blades, configuration and weight of spinnerbait you plan to build.

If you want to get your feet wet, before spending loads of money, check out the new kits that Do-It has (I think Stamina carries them), they include some prepoured heads, some paint, skirts, blades, etc, good way to piddle around at a low entry cost, and get to fishing your new baits a bit faster than shelling out a ton for molds, melters, ladles, lead, wireforms, clevisis, spacers, tools, skirt material, bunches of blades, paint, brushes, eyes, beads, etc, etc
If you need a specific list of stuff, let me know. Most places also offer pre-poured heads, either painted or unpainted, in a variety of styles, saving you the cost of several molds. |

molds cost between $20-$45 EACH,wire bender is $65,lead melter $50 or so,ladle runs $20-cast iron dipper-,panit is $10 a can for the good stuff, wires, hooks, blades, beads, and spacers. want to drop $500 fast here ya go..
like damage said use the kit till you want to go big time. trust me it's cheaper.. zooker
