Zooker, this one's for you, buddy
A BASSIN' MANS PRAYER Almighty and all loving Father, We fishermen thank thee For thy blessings of thy great outdoors, Especially for the privilege to pursue our sport as free men and women in a free nation. And we especially thank thee for thy son Jesus, who so loved fishermen that he chose four or more among His twelve Apostles. And in years to come, Dear Lord, as each Bassin' man comes to thee, Please remember these are a special breed. Their spirits would not be content to walk Alabaster streets. Grant them instead Clean water with a quiet chop with enough honey holes to last an eternity and a Bassin' Buddy to share it with. In Christ's name, Amen. --Homer Circle 'nuff said

Keith, I've already told my wife to have it read when she plants me.
I only post it when we lose a buddy. So far I've posted it twice this year. I don't want to post it again

John sent me these pics and asked me to post them for him. I don't know the story behind them, but he'll be on later today after work to say something about them.

thank you daniel. the reason i asked for them to be posted here is for ZOOKER. i didn't want to go fishing really, but lisa insisted that we needed to get on the water. so i half heartedly went. as ya'll know i have been REAL down over the last couple of weeks. but this has helped me A LOT. we went to the same places i took ZOOKER on his trip on WEISS LAKE. we didn't catch any in the spot he caught his. but we did on the other spot. i caught the first fish, a little 3/4 pounder. not bad, but not really great either. but it made me smile a little more than i have been. lisa caught a really nice 2 1/2 pounder next. the hook was so deep it would've died quick if i didn't get it back in the water so i threw it back before we got a picture of it. had no camarea with us, only our cells. yes she was deservidly mad as heck at me. but i was afraid it would die. promised her she would catch another one bigger...and i was right. i caught another small bass. then she got the one in the picture. her biggest on WEISS LAKE. a solid 3 pounder. sll 4 fish were caught in the same spot. on lizzards of course, lol. and i know our BROTHER ZOOKER was coaching her on her catches. this is why i wanted to post it here. i am better now. i know he is still with me, lisa and the rest of us gang. he is helping us everytime we get a hit. lisa said after the second bass she caught, "this one is for you ZOOKER!" YES I SMILED REAL BIG ON THAT ONE. thanks gang.
and yes i can hesar him now saying "the best fishing is outta the back of dat cajun". laughing real loud as he says it. i didn't mind it one bit either.

John, I'm so glad Lisa was able to talk you into getting back out on the water. No doubt, that was exactly what you needed after the past weeks. And I have no doubt ole Zook was right there with you. You and Lisa were there for him when he needed you most. Now he's going to be looking out for you. Thanks for sharing the story about your outting. God bless you both.

Yep Zooker was right there with you guys. Of course he was making fun of your little fish like he always was .
Seriously John, I am glad you two got back on the water. It's a great stress reliever to get on the water and get everything off your chest.
