Lizards vs. Tikis

What do you guys like better for spring time fishing? Personally mine is Tikis, in a watermelon red color, deadsticking them by the beds! What do u guys like to use for spawning bass?

JB, have the bass turned on for you down there yet? They sure haven't up here yet??

LIZARDSRULEBASS especially in the spring, but will work anytime of the year.

i'd say lizards would prolly be more effective. tikis resemble a wounded baitfish, something like a lizard with flapping legs and tail will look more like its feeding on the eggs making it more of a threat towards the bass. For bed sometimes they'll take anything you drag accross the bed, sometimes they'll be more timid. For the times they're more timid I prefer crawfish/jig or a swim bait that I can stop right on the bed.

personally, i can not answer this because i have not used a bait like a tiki in the spring. but i have used lizards and they work well.wheighless,texas, carolina. does it matter???? the lizards just plain work in the spring. i like the carolina in early spring preferbally because the water is colder,if you use a floating lizard then it lifts off the ground and sort ofs suspends there, giving the bass more time to strike. so my answer will be lizards even though i have not used tikis in the spring,sure they may work but i am pretty sure lizards and tubes will work better.

Lizards are good but so are tiki's in the words of Bassfisher02 where ever the heck he is. There is no one thing that works better than the other and no bests in bass fishing. But I would tie up both and rotate to find out what they perfer. On lakes where you got tiki people use a lizard and vice versa. Pick up a floating worm. One of the most underused baits. Make sure you get a j hook in it so you get more action and use a swivle. Don't tie the swivle up the line 2 feet either 8 inches is sufficient.

bedding fish i would use a jig first a tiki/senko/yum dinger second and lizards 3rd.that could also change on any given day.

Well I fish worms, tubes, jigs, crankbaits and spinnerbaits but yes that is top one or two on my list

Well the fall feed happened in Missouri but only like for a couple of days as the lake got cold. Got a lot today on the drop. Shallow water next to deep water is paying off for me right now.
