I use improved clinch knot for that but I never use palmar knot. Wait for some of the palmar knot guys to come in.

palomar w/everything. never had it fail, never needs retied. you'll break your line or change lures before the knot comes undone.

Why use anything else other than a Palomar? It's simple to tie, easy see if it's tied correctly, and as already stated, it doesn't fail. You don't need 15 different knots to fish 15 different baits, 1 knot works for all of those, and it's the Palomar Biggest problem I see with guys tying them is they try to make a tiny loop. Use some extra line(WOW a Whole 6"), and make your loops bigger, and easier to work with, and trim the excess.
