Important weather question!

Here in Tennessee the weather reached in the 90's today. I'm going on a fishing trip near Pickwick Lake this weekend and the forecast calls for a high of 68 and a low of 47 for both Saturday and Sunday with partly cloudy skies. Now I know the water temperature will not change that dramatically in a few days, but since it is a cold front do you guys think it will put a damper on the bass fishing with such a dramatic change of air temperature? The fishing here lately has been extremely slow I think due to the hot and muggy days(feels like summertime)so maybe the cooler air temperatures will improve fishing. what do you guys think?

Depends on the severity of the cold front. If it is a mild one 24 hours ought to settle everything down. It also will probably start the water temp dropping os the fish will start feeding for winter.

well, as a Kentuckian, I can tell you that the weather pattern in the Ohio Valley is anything but predictable the past few weeks. Some days it can be in the sixties, other days it will reach as high as 80+. Hard to pattern, to say the least. I've been having the most luck with spinnerbaits here in Kentucky, but the fishing still hasn't been its very best. I know that on the first day of major temp. drops, I haven't had much luck at all, pulling maybe one fish, two or three if I'm lucky. On other days, I've caught fish in all different areas..cover, open water, shallow, really tight to cover, roaming flats, whatever. My advice would be that you don't really know what you're gonna get right now..so the only way to find out is to go out and try and see what works..then stick with it for as long as you can.
