Default october fishing from shore

Hey,I need some ideas on how to fish this lake by my house. It's clear water with a gradually sloping bottom on one end, while on the side's it goes out about 10ft then drops to depth of about 18 to 22 ft.There are weed pockets still along the shore, but are slowly dying, seeing it is late oct and the air temps about 35.I live in Minnesota just south of the Minnesota river in dakota county. The lake is spring feed and has just risen about 3ft over the last month due to rain.I've seen some bass shallow but only reallly small ones.Any help would be helpful.Thx

Fish dropoffs with either really slow baits or fast.

This time of year the fish are feeding for the winter, so throw baits that resemble shad-spinnerbaits, flukes, cranks, etc. Fish the edges, but don't overlook open water.

Mis read thought you where talking winter. Right know throw rattle shads on flats for best action or fish structure on flats.

in your case fish will burrow in the dieing grass as it will be warmer. i would work the grass nearest the deep water. bass tend to hang up close to deep water..

you mean your not shovlin yet??

The Fish Here In PA. Are Suspending. For The Most Part Really Hard To Get To Them From The Bank. Try To Find Some Current Or Like Zook Said Grass And Keep An Eye Out For Baitfish.
