Default Rapala Minnow Rap

Just been to the Rapala site and saw a crankbait called the minnow rap. It is based on the floating rapala and is made of balsa. It has a red diving bill and will go to depts of 15' according to rapala. As always comes with the VMC black nickel hooks and the bleeding baits come with the red VMC hooks. It looks like a great bass and walleye bait. Went to the Bass Pro site and Tackle Warehouse and could not find them listed. Does anyone have any of these baits or has anyone fished with them and if so how did they perform.

I have a 2 tackleboxes full of crankbaits but it seems like I fish the Rapala's more than the others. Also it seems I catch as many or more fish on the Rapala's than I do on the rest of my crankbaits.

They're normally considered a walleye bait. Our cabela's has loads of them, being so close to Lake Erie. Cabela's seems to have a better selection of Rapala than BPS anyways.

My dad's a walleye fisherman and trolls a lot of crank-baits; specifically Wally Divers ...They look a lot like the Rapala Minnow Rap and are $2 less. The Wally diver is a very productive crank-bait and we always catch more large mouth than walleye even though we are targetting walleye.

I've seen them at our Walmart from time to time. Our lakes and river system here is loaded with Walleye. This would be a good bait for Bass, Walleye and Pike. I'll give one a try. I've always done well with Rapalas lures.
